To meet the objective of
promoting the career development of its members the GE Club has a subcommittee
that is focused on encouraging the GEs to invest in their careers and organizing
activities to this end. This committee arranges internal learning sessions
during which Sapref staff from various disciplines present on their tasks and
responsibilities. Topics such as refinery operations, electrical engineering, engineering
materials and corrosion, quality management systems and even refinery economics
and scheduling have been covered in these talks. This committee also arranges
external training on soft skills to develop the GEs leadership potential;
technical report writing and emotional intelligence courses have also been
planned.
